Thu, 16 Jan 2014 21:22:54 GMT — It seems the weather pattern for Deep South Texas includes more cold fronts, in fact two more are expected to pass through the RGV in the next five days. The first front will slip through overnight tonight bringing little more than a wind shift and a brief cool down. This front will stall just south of the valley then whip back north as the leading edge of warmer air this weekend. This weekend will be warmer with partly cloudy skies and quickening, southerly breezes; daytime highs will be pushing up through the upper 70's by Sunday. The second cold front is scheduled to pass through on Tuesday dropping temperatures 6 to 8 degrees. Behind the Tuesday front moist air is forecast to flood in from Mexico building a blanket of clouds and a series of showers for Thursday.
