It seems the start of spring got shorted out across the RGV but it won't be long before daytime highs are once again in the 80's.
There is good news all over this forecast with an increasing chance for rain overnight and throughout Wednesday. An upper level area of low pressure is sliding east across Texas from the Panhandle to the Ark-La-Tex tonight, Wednesday and Thursday. It won't rain constantly but the valley does stand a good chance of seeing widely scattered showers with some embedded thunderstorms. The best chance, or window of opportunity, will be 3a to 3p Wednesday.
The chance for rain will slacken a bit late Wednesday but the threat of light showers will last through early Thursday.
Southeast winds and clearing skies will rush in behind this storm system allowing high temperatures to push into the upper 80's Thursday afternoon and to near 90 by Friday
