The latest on tropical storm Dolly has the center about 275 miles south, southeast of Brownsville off the coast near Tampico, Mexico.
Dolly has sustained wind speeds near 50mph and is moving west at 12mph. The storm should make a northerly jog later tonight putting it closer to the Rio Grande Valley by landfall early Wednesday before sunrise probably near La Pesca or about 150 miles south of Brownsville.
A coastal flood advisory is in effect for Cameron, Kenedy and Willacy counties until 4pm Wednesday. A high surf advisory is also in effect.
The most noticeable impact from Dolly will be any rain for the RGV. One to two inches of rain is possible across the valley through Wednesday with some spotty higher amounts nearer 3 inches.
