Daytime @ Nine: Borderfest Celebrates the USA
Each year Borderfest pays homage to a different country, bringing in a bit of its culture and history to the Rio Grande Valley. In its 41st year, South Texas’s largest music, culture and heritage festival will celebrate the U.S.A. There will be a 45’ replica of the Statue of Liberty in the center of Liberty Square, where there will also be informative displays of American icons, as well as the KGBT CBS 4 USA Stage, with live performances by an Elvis impersonator, Native American dance tribes, a 16 piece brass swing bad, zydeco music and more.
This year, free admission for veterans, active duty military and national guard with ID.
