Hey mom: what would you NOT want for Mother's day?
"Something to wash with." "A really smelly perfume." "A household appliance. That's probably a common thing to say. But it's true."
They say it's the thought that counts. So how about putting a little thought into what does count... A good gift for your mom this Mother's Day. Let's start your shopping experience by telling you what mom probably doesn't want to get.
First, vacuums or other cleaning equipment. Reminding her she's a maid? Not a great idea. Same goes for number 2: Cooking appliances and utensils. In fact, unless she specifically asks for it, just skip anything that plugs in. Worse yet? Number 3: Gym memberships or anything suggesting she needs to lose weight.
Oh and don't buy something for yourself and pretend it's for your mom. Your mom's going to know. She's your mom!
Next... animals... another mouth to feed and clean up after doesn't scream "Mother's Day." And unless she asks for one: a gift card. They don't take any thought.
Bottom line... Don't be a dummy. Your mom's taken care of you. Now it's time for you to take care of her.
