The skid marks still cut across the road from an accident on Friday morning.
Officials in La Feria say it all happened around 11 a.m. Friday.
A car heading east bound on business 83 toward White Ranch road plowed into the 83 Bar and Grill.
"It was traveling along the rail road tracks..jumped on the curb when across the 83 and directly into the 83 Bar and Grill, said La Feria Police Chief Don Garcia.
Officers said when they arrived on scene, they quickly learned the car was property of Cameron County.
La Feria police chief Don Garcia tells Action 4 they were able to rescue the driver, he was unconscious but alive.
The man TMs identity is not being released at this time, but police said he did suffer some sort of medical trauma.
"We do know he is a diabetic individual, He had been taking medication, we are looking into it as an accident" said Garcia.
There TMs not much left in the kitchen area where the car came plowing through, Action 4 did speak to witnesses who said they came running out after hearing a loud crash.
Family friend Don Lee said the owners were out of town Friday and says its a tragedy on what happened.
Crews were out covering the building with boards Friday afternoon.
Chief Garcia said the driver of the car was taken to Valley Baptist Medical center.
They say he is doing just fine.
