One of the most talented and accomplished artists in Texas creates his paintings right here in the Rio Grande Valley at The Shop in Port Isabel.
Larry Haines grew up in Harlingen as an avid hunter and fisherman and has been painting professionally for some 35 years. Connoisseurs throughout the world collect his outstanding artwork, featuring saltwater fish and South Texas birds.
Being a skilled fly fisherman and outdoorsman, Larry gets a lot of his ideas from personal experiences, but he also enjoys the challenge of commission work.
Haines works primarily in watercolors, oils and pastels, and in addition to fine artwork on canvas; he also has designed a number of the very popular tee shirts for the Texas International Fishing Tournament including this year TMs edition.
And you don't have to wait long for Larry Haine's wearable art as this year TMs TIFT shirts go on sale Wednesday at registration at the South Padre Island Convention Center.
