$1,000 reward for justice in mutilated dogs case

"Baby" after surgery

A group of citizens have come up with a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the brutal slashing of two dogs on October 2nd in Edinburg.

They TMve also started a petition to get the Hidalgo County Sheriff TMs Department to investigate the mutilations further.

All this after Action 4 TMs Marcy Martinez exclusively reported the heinous acts against Adam and Baby who wandered from their owners home on Ansley Street and were struck with an object, possibly a machete, leaving both of them near death.

Since the story aired, thousands of dollars in donations poured into the PETDOCTOR 911 in McAllen to assist the family with medical costs since both dogs underwent extensive surgery to save their lives.

Adam was sliced on the back of his neck practically from ear to ear, but Baby received the brunt of the attack, her skull was broken and her vertebrae nearly severed.

Adam is now healing at home, and just Thursday night, Baby finally went home!

Hidalgo County investigators say there were no witnesses to the crime in the neighborhood and no one has come forward with information which is why a group of people are urging citizens and animal advocates to sign their petition and hopefully get justice for the beloved pets.
