$1.1 million in bonds for teen in fatal DWI accident

A Hidalgo County teen remains behind bars under $1.1 million dollars bond after being jailed for drinking, driving and causing an accident that claimed an elderly woman's life.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers arrested 17-year-old Gilberto Rosales on multiple criminal charges early Saturday morning.
State troopers told Action 4 News that the teen was behind the wheel of Chevrolet pickup truck that hit a Chevrolet Impala off Expressway 83 and Victoria Road in Donna late Friday night.
The impact of the accident sent the Chevrolet Imapla into a rollover accident claiming the life of 62-year-old Maria Cruz Arreazola.
Two other women and a child inside the Chevrolet Impala were also injured in the accident.
State troopers charged Rosales with one count of intoxication manslaughter and three counts of intoxication assault.
Rosales remains in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail under $1.1 million dollars in bonds.
