$1.4 million in marijuana found on Starr County ranch

U.S. Border Patrol agents seized more than $1.4 million worth of marijuana at a South Texas ranch after responding to a report of suspicious activity.

Agents found the more than 220 packages of marijuana Wednesday after following a trail to an abandoned, partially constructed cinder block building.

A spokeswoman for the Border Patrol's Rio Grande Valley sector says no arrests have been made so far.

The drugs have been turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Garceno is about 50 miles northwest of McAllen.
