23-year-old suspect in attempted murder case turns himself in

Arturo Gomez Zermeno turned himself in Wednesday evening, according to the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office.
Zermeno will be booked into the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office Detention Center for criminal attempt murder, according to Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra.
Investigators believe Zermeno shot his uncle, 45-year-old Rogelio Rangel, in the head after an argument, according to a news release.
Judge Jaime "Jerry" Munoz set bond at $500,000, according to the news release.
Zermeno remains at the Hidalgo County jail and couldn't be reached for comment.
The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office requested help from the public Wednesday afternoon to track down the 23-year-old suspect.
