More than $3 million dollars worth of marijuana is off the streets after being seized from a shipment of jalapepos headed north.
It all happened at the Border Patrol TMs Falfurrias checkpoint on Monday evening.
Border Patrol agents told Action 4 News that an 18-wheeler carrying a shipment of jalapeo peppers was headed north.
Authorities reported finding dozens of bundles with 3,700 pounds of marijuana hidden inside the shipment.
Border Patrol agents seized the marijuana and the 18-wheeler.
The agents arrested the driver but his name and criminal charges filed against him have not been released.
It's not clear where the jalapeos came from or where they were headed but the case remains under investigation by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
