More than 3.5 tons of marijuana is off the streets following a seizure south of the border in Diaz Ordaz, Tamaulipas.
It all happened in the Poblado Santo Nio just outside Diaz Ordaz on Sunday.
Mexico TMs Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) reported that soldiers were out on patrol in the area when they came across the drugs.
Soldiers reported finding 513 bundles with 7,087 pounds of marijuana in a brushy area.
No arrests were made but authorities believe the drugs are worth $13.4 million dollars on the streets.
Diaz Ordaz is located west of Reynosa and south of the Hidalgo County cities of La Joya and Los Ebanos.
