Some 50 needy Rio Grande Valley families will have a Thanksgiving meal thanks to a special group of volunteers.
Child Protective Services (CPS) caseworkers teamed up with Time Warner Cable employees for the special deliveries.
Each of the dinner baskets were filled with a frozen turkey, canned vegetables, stuffing, gravy and mashed potatoes.
Time Warner Cable employees dropped off the donated goods at the CPS office in Harlingen.
CPS delivered the dinners to families working to overcome challenges the families are currently facing.
Agency spokesman John Lennan said the donated holidays provides the families with the sit down and enjoy a good meal together.
