On Saturday morning, an 86-year-old man was struck and killed by another 86-year-old man in an auto pedestrian accident.
Mission police said the fatal accident happened on the 500 block of North Bryan Road around 10 a.m.
The 86-year-old driver accidently hit the other elderly man as he was crossing the street.
The driver immediately stopped to render aid and call police.
The victim was taken to McAllen Medical Center, but died two hours later.
He is a native Mission man who lived near the scene of the accident.
