      911 tape released in Brownsville kidnapping, murder

      It all happened at the Marciscos Playa Azul seafood restaurant off Military Highway early Wednesday afternoon.

      Authorities have released a copy of a 911 call revealing chilling new details in the kidnapping and murder of a Brownsville man.

      The call was made just minutes after 22-year-old Reyes Gilberto Bocanegra was kidnapped at gunpoint.

      It all happened at the Marciscos Playa Azul seafood restaurant off Military Highway early Wednesday afternoon.

      A woman who identified herself of Bocanegra TMs wife said the gunmen stormed the restaurant, tied everyone up and smashed their video surveillance equipment.

      The woman is heard pleading with the 911 operator and telling her that they may have fled to Mexico.

      Bocanegra TMs wife told police to try to locate him using the geolocation feature on her kidnapped husband TMs cell phone.

      Authorities found Bocanegra TMs SUV with his body in the backseat some 12 miles away off Roberta Road in Rancho Viejo.

      No arrests have been made and no suspects have been publicly identified.
