A man accused of kidnapping a teenage girl from her Primera home, is now behind bars.
Victor Garcia was arrested, after Brownsville police received a tip on their Crime stopper line.
Garcia along with four others and the victim were found and taken into custody. Brownsville police say the call came into the crime stoppers line late this morning from concerned citizens who provided information that lead to the rescue of the 14 year old victim, and the arrest of the alleged suspect.
The call came from someone staying at the red roof in, located along the expressway in Brownsville.
Following up on that, police found Garcia in the parking lot of the plaza square motel off Central Boulevard and price road.
Garcia was immediately arrested along with three other men, and one female. Police are not saying whether those four were connected to the kidnapping.
Primera police, as well as Brownsville police are still investigating the details of this crime.
As of right now, Garcia is being held on a possession charge because Brownsville police say he had marijuana on him at the time of his arrest.
"Victor Garcia, the main suspect will be charged with possession of marijuana and will be staying here in the Brownsville city jail overnight," said Brownsville spokesperson Jimmy Mnrrique.
Primera police tell us, as soon as Garcia saw his name and picture on action 4 last night he immediately began calling family and police saying that he didn't have Izaguirre.
According to investigators, Garcia had been threatening the Izaguirre family for some time, and even made threats against police.
