      Air show stunt woman dies

Air acrobatics stunt woman, Amanda Franklin, 25, died Friday night. Her husband and stunt partner, Kyle Franklin, decided to take her off life support after Amanda was making little progress in her recovery.

In a statement, Franklin said Friday, that his wife TMs burn wounds were bleeding out and infected, and her vital organs had also shut-down.

Kyle and Amanda Franklin were the featured act at the 2011 Air Fiesta show in Brownsville held in March. Kyle was the pilot as Amanda did several stunts on top of a plane.

Reported massive engine failure caused the plane to crash. Amanda made it back into the plane before impact, however she was unable to get out of the plane - or be pulled out - as it caught fire.

Kyle escaped the flames with some burns but over 60 percent of Amanda TMs body was burned.

Air Fiesta Brownsville is fundraising to help Kyle Franklin with living and medical expenses, as well as the rest of Amanda Franklin TMs family.

They will host an event at the Air Fiesta Show grounds, located next to the Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport on June 4, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

There will be food and drinks, games for children, live bands and more.
