UPDATE: Hidalgo County Child Abduction Alert canceled
UPDATE: We've learned that the Child Abduction Alert out of Hidalgo County has been canceled. We're told Margarita Ann Tobias was located.
**Editor note: It was originally reported that this abduction was an Amber Alert. We've learned that the alert is a Child Abduction Alert and not an Amber Alert. The story has been updated throughout.**
A Child Abduction Alert has been issued for three Hidalgo County children.
Authorities are searching for Nallely Garcia, 3, Jacob Garcia, 1 and Angelo Garcia 2. Nallely, Jacob and Angelo have brown eyes and black hair.
Police are also searching for Margarita Ann Tobias, 25, in connection with their abduction.
We're told the three children, who are currently under the care of their grandmother, were taken by Tobias, who is their biological mother.
Authorities said that Tobias is currently under investigation by Child Protective Services.
The alert stated that Tobias, without permission from CPS, was last seen leaving the children's grandmother's residence on foot pushing a pink stroller with the three children in the area of I Road and Minnesota Road in the community of Lopezville.
Tobias is described as a 25 year old Hispanic female, 5’2”, 195 lbs, green eyes, blonde hair, and was last seen wearing a pink shirt and blue jeans.
No vehicle description was given as authorities said the suspect left on foot in an unknown direction of travel.
