An Amber Alert has been issued after a two-year-old girl was taken from her home by her father.

Our sister-station KEYE-YV reported that Jesse Thomas went to his mother TMs home on the 1800 block of Anita Drive in Austin where two-year-old Cheyenne Johnson lives.

The girl TMs grandmother refused to let Thomas in, but he went to the back of the home and kicked the door in.

Thomas grabbed Cheyenne and fled the scene.

KEYE-TV reported that Thomas does not have any parental rights, and is currently out on bond for aggravated assault against a peace officer.

Cheyenne TMs mother is currently in jail.

Thomas is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

He was last seen Friday afternoon after the 33-year-old led a chase, but police lost contact of him due to heavy traffic.

Cheyenne is two-years-old and two and a half feet tall.

The toddler has brown hair and brown eyes.

She was seen wearing a navy blue shirt with flowers on it and navy blue shorts.

Thomas was driving a black 2005 Mercury Marquis four-door with Texas license plate DN3F648. The vehicle has 22 inch silver rims and damage to the rear bumper.

If you have any information on Cheyenne or Thomas' whereabouts, call Austin police at (512) 477-3588.
