Tue, 11 Feb 2014 15:44:12 GMT — A cold air mass continues to sink into the area, bringing yet another swipe of winter to the RGV. Temperatures will hold steady in the low to mid 40's through the day before dropping off overnight into the 30's. Today, a humid air mass will override the cold air at the surface to create overcast conditions and the scattered showers throughout the day. Motorists will need to use caution when driving as visibility will be reduced due to the light drizzle-mist combination. Slow down, give yourself extra time to get to your destination, and use your low beam headlights as a precaution. As we head into Wednesday, drier air will move into the region allowing for skies to become partly cloudy by midday, mostly clear by end of day. That will allow temperatures to rebound into the upper 50's for a high. By the end of the week, mid to upper 70's will prevail for your weekend.
