It turns out, auto crime spikes during the month of July. New numbers from the Texas Crime Analysis Report show vehicle thefts occur once every 8 minutes. That was a total of over 65-thousand in 2012 and accounted for 8-percent of total property crimes that year. And if you're a pick-up truck owner, you'll want to be extra careful. Turns out Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge pick-up round out the top 3 stolen cars. While Hondas are the most popular sedans.
