A Southmost man is facing criminal charges after he allegedly beat an 11-year-old boy during an early Monday afternoon incident.
Brownsville police arrested 52-year-old Ramon Garza on an injury to a child charge around 1 p.m. Monday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that police officers were called out to a home on the 5200 block of Villa Bonita in the Southmost area of Brownsville.
Family members reported that Garza used his hand to hit an 11-year-old boy on his back and head several times.
The boy was left with red marks and bruising on his back and left arm.
