Below average temps to linger through Thanksgiving
The cool temperatures will remain in the Rio Grande Valley up through the Thanksgiving holiday.
Afternoon highs across the Rio Grande Valley are only expected to reach the mid to upper 40's Sunday and Monday. It would be the first time in nearly 40 years that temperatures stayed below 50 degrees for three consecutive days in the the month of November.
Light showers are expected across the valley through Tuesday.
Temperatures will slowly rebound to normal by the end of the week.
