Authorities are investigating a possible homicide after a body was found inside an apartment in Weslaco.
The discover was made off South Border Avenue and West 2nd Street around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Both police and a justice of the peace were called to the scene.

Police found a badly decomposed body inside but were not able to determine its gender and age or how long it had been there.
Investigators reported that the apartment was being rented out at the time of the discovery but are trying to learn who the renter was.
