Border Patrol agents save dehydrated immigrant on ranchland

An immigrant has been revived after US Border Patrol agents saved his life while he was crossing through a ranch.

The agents saw two men attempting to avoid the Falfurrias checkpoint and another near Highway 281 near Falfurrias.

That TMs when they made contact with them and realized one of the immigrants was severely dehydrated.

The agents were able to administer lifesaving fluids and applied a cold compress as treatment for dehydration.

The unauthorized immigrants were then transported for processing.

According to Border Patrol, more than 280 people have been rescued after needing treatment during this fiscal year.

The rescue was made by agents from the Border Patrol Search, Trauma and Rescue (BORSTAR) team.
