Boyfriend accused of punching woman after drinking Four Loko

An assault suspect is behind bars after he allegedly punched a 20-year-old woman in her face causing her to bleed.

The incident happened earlier this week just after midnight on the 32000 block of Papaya Drive in Los Fresnos.

Deputies with the Cameron County Sheriff TMs Department responded to the scene.

That TMs when they found the victim with bruising on her neck and arms, according to documents obtained by Action 4 News.

Luis Gonzalez was arrested and transported to the county jail.

The victim entered her boyfriend TMs room, which caused him to become upset, documents alleged.

The alleged assault happened after the victim TMs boyfriend had been drinking Four Loko, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Gonzalez is charged with Assault (dating violence), a Class A misdemeanor.

His bond was set at $4,000 for the criminal charge.
