One of the most important parts of a wedding is a bride TMs dress.
After two years of dating, Lily Najera and her fianc Jose Eguia decided to tie the knot.
Eguia proposed in October, and the bride-to-be wasted no time planning her fairytale wedding by looking for a dress.
After some shopping about, Najera found a $1,200 package deal at Ceci TMs Fashions in Downtown Brownsville.
It was the most convenience that I got, it was the best price with a lot of things. That TMs why I got it at this store, she said.
Just two months away from her wedding, Najera has been struggling to get a hold of Juana Alejandrina Mascorro, the dress shop owner.
Najera has been struggling since late March to get a hold of Mascorro, and each time she has visited the shop, it has been closed.
On one recent occasion, she showed up and found another disgruntled customer at the door with a sheriff deputy.
Brownsville police now have a warrant out for Mascorro on several theft charges.
Police said Najera is not the only customer that has been given the run around on her investment.
It TMs putting our wedding in jeopardy. Definitely I want her to be happy and if she TMs not happy, I TMm not happy, So, obviously it TMs a very frustrating situations for us, the groom-to-be said.
Several disgruntled customers showed up complaining about the business, while our cameras were rolling.
Some customers said they will be happy if they get their money back, so they can go look somewhere else for a dress.
Police have not been able to locate Mascorro at her business or home address.
