      Brownsvile police search for Stripes Store beer thieves

      Stripes robbery suspect

      Brownsville Police are asking for help in finding two men who robbed a Stripes Convenience Store on November 22.

      The robbery happened at a Stripes Store located on 13th and Roosevelt Street at around 11:40 p.m.

      Police said that after the men walked into the store, one stood by the door and watched the clerk while the other went to the back by the alcoholic beverages.

      The Stripes clerk said he began walking up to the man in the back of the store, but the man in the front threatened the clerk with bodily harm if he tried to stop them.

      The clerk said the man who was threatening him had something around his waistband which he thought was a weapon.

      Both of the men ran out of the store with several 12 packs of beer.
