Brownsville airline president indicted for child porn

The president of a small airline company in Brownsville was indicted on child porn charges on Tuesday afternoon.

U.S. Attorney General Jose Angel Moreno announced that a Brownsville grand jury indicted 60-year-old Robert L. Hedrick for attempted sexual exploitation of children, transfer and distribution of child porn charges.

The five count indictment alleged Hedrick possessed child porn, and distributed on two separate occasions, from March 8 to September 16 for 2010 and from September 14 to November 22 of 2010.

Court documents stated an undercover investigation led police to Hedrick, after he allegedly contacted investigators posing as minors online on two separate occasions.

Hedrick was arrested on July 18. If convicted he faces up to 30 years in prison without parole and up to $250,000 in fines per charge.

His next court date has not been set yet, but is expected to be sometime next week.
