Brownsville hosts first family-friendly CycloBia

Brownsville has transformed their downtown streets into a car-free route so families can enjoy the city TMs first CycloBia.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., people are invited to bring bicycles, tricycles, roller skates, skateboards and sneakers.

The opening ceremony is held at Dean Porter Park and various reclovias will be along the route.

Reclovias are activities featuring various exercise classes and instructions.

According to the City of Brownsville, the event was created for families to enjoy a safe, temporary environment for them to enjoy physical activity and explore the downtown area.

Healthy food concession stands will be located throughout the route.

This FREE event is modeled after a Colombian ciclova phenomenon.
