Brownsville man arrested for vicodin scheme

A Brownsville man is behind bars after a scheme where he allegedly used prescriptions from several doctors to buy large quantities of vicodin.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers arrested 47-old-year Noe Soliz on Wednesday.

Court records obtained by Action 4 News show he had been taking prescriptions to the Target off Morrison Road in Brownsville over the past several months.

State troopers learned that Soliz went to went to three Brownsville doctors to get the prescriptions.

Court records six show Soliz would never use his insurance and always paid for the prescriptions at their full cash price.

State troopers files two fraud charges agains Soliz.

It's not clear what Soliz did with the pills but state troopers filed fraud charges against him for obtaining the prescription.

Soliz appeared before Cameron County Magistrate Judge Alfredo Cordova on Thursday morning where he was issued $15,000 dollars in bonds.
