A Brownsville man is behind bars after being accused of a DWI wreck involving three cars where he allegedly fled the scene.
Brownsville police arrested 21-year-old Jesus Duran, Jr. on multiple criminal charges early Saturday morning.
Investigators told Action 4 News that it all happened on southbound Expressway 77/83 near Media Luna Road around 2:20 a.m. Saturday.
Police said a red Ford F-150 pickup truck was involved in an accident with two other vehicles.
Paramedics rushed six people from the two other vehicles to two different hospitals but Duran had allegedly fled the scene.
Officers arrested Duran at his home and took to the hospital for a mandatory blood draw.
Investigators charged Duran with six counts of intoxicated assault and six counts of failure to stop and render aid.
Duran appeared before a Brownsville Municipal Court judge where he was issued $45,000 dollars in bonds.
