Brownsville man faces judge for murder charge

A Brownsville man faced a judge on Thursday morning for the city's first murder of 2009.

Brownsville police arrested Rolando Garza on Wednesday afternoon for the shooting death of 30-year-old Aaron Castillo.

Investigators said the two were childhood friends but identified Garza as one of the gunmen in Castillo's murder.

Garza was arraigned at 10 a.m. Thursday.

A judge set his bond at $250,000.

Police are still searching for Randall Bolivar, who is considered another suspect in the murder.
