Brownsville man wanted for allegedly shooting ex-girlfriend

A Brownsville man is wanted after he shot his 21-year-old ex-girlfriend multiple times Friday evening.

Police said the shooting suspect is ex-boyfriend Victor Manuel Hernandez who was allegedly stalking her.

Interim Brownsville Police Chief Orlando Rodriguez told Action 4 News that Hernandez went to the home of Jasmine Reyes at 223 Keith Lane in Brownsville.

The 25-year-old had gone over to the house wanting to talk to her.

When she walked away from him, he shot her multiple times then fled.

Reyes went into surgery for the gunshot wounds.

She was later stabalized and put in intensive care.

Brownsville police are in the process of getting a warrant for Hernandez' arrest.
