A Brownsville mother is facing criminal charges after a neighbor founder her 4-year-old son wandering the streets near their home.
Brownsville police arrested 33-year-old Aracely Can on a child endangerment charge early Thursday afternoon.
Investigators told Action 4 News that officers were called out to Pandora Street for a 4-year-old boy found wandering the streets.
Police said the boy was alone, barefoot and crying.
Can was with the boy when police arrived. She told police that she was watching him play outside from the window.
Officers reported that Can did not seem concerned about the whereabouts of her child and then arrested her.
