A witness told officers that there was a 2-year-old child wandering the streets alone.

Police found the child TMs home where four other children ranging from 13 to 7 years old were all home alone.

The 13-year-old child told police that their mother left to go out and that the babysitter left to her apartment.

Mares arrived while police were there and told them she left before the babysitter arrived and she didn TMt call to check to see if the babysitter had arrived.

Police charged Mares with four counts of abandoning/endangering a child with intent to return.
