Brownsville police arrested three men accused of kidnapping an acquaintance outside an HEB grocery store off Paredes Line Road on Thursday afternoon.
Police spokesman Eddie Garcia said officers responded to the HEB off Paredes Line Road and FM 802 about 1:20 p.m. Thursday.
Several witnesses called in to report that a 17-year-old man had been forced into a red 2001 Ford Explorer by three other men.
But in a swift response, Garcia said police caught up to the alleged kidnappers as they pulled into the driveway of home on the 100 block of Shoreline Drive.
Officers arrested the three men and reported finding a handgun, which they believe was used to kidnap the 17-year-old victim.
The teen was not injured during the incident.
Garcia said the 17-year-old victim knew the other three men and owed one of them money.
All three men remain under arrest where they're facing aggravated kidnapping and engaging in organized criminal activity.
