Brownsville police search for 'Bealls Bandit'

      Brownsville police have been searching for a serial shoplifter after he allegedly targeted a Bealls store three times.

      The male suspect has been taking off with thousands of dollars in clothes.

      According to police, the man has targeted Bealls on Boca Chica Boulevard three times in the last few weeks.

      He typically walks into the store, grabs clothes and runs out.

      The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, standing about five feet three inches, between the age of 25 and 30.

      "If anyone recognizes who he is, please call the Brownsville Crime Stoppers line at (956) 546-TIPS and get us some help identifying him," said Sgt. Jimmy Manrrique.

      The suspect has left in a different vehicle after each robbery.

      The first was a black Pontiac; the second was a white car; the last time he was seen in a light green Ford Escort.
