A suspect in a triple shooting is behind bars after being arrested at a Southmost home.
The U.S. Marshal's Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Mario Cortez at a home near Morningside Park in Brownsville around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Brownsville police told Action 4 News that Cortez is a suspection in triple shooting that took place on the 400 block of West Washington Street on April 5th.
Cortez allegedly shot at three people and wounded two of them. Both are still reportedly recovering from the shooting.
Investigators told Action 4 News that they learned Cortez was at a home off San Pedro Lane in the Southmost area of Brownsville.
Task force members reported that Cortez was arrested without incident and transported to the Brownsville City Jail.
Cortez is expected to face three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
