Building fire sends two fire departments to combat blaze

McAllen Fire Department responds to structure fire

Multiple fire departments are battling a blaze at a building in McAllen.

The McAllen Fire Department assisted by the Edinburg Fire Department worked to put out a building on fire on North 10th Street near Sprague Street.

Firefighters responded to the fire before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12.

According to the McAllen Fire Chief Rafael Balderas, the entire building caught fire and it is believed to be an abandoned.

No injuries are currently being reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The fire was under control by 10:15 p.m.
