Authorities are investigating a drug seizure where burglars allegedly lead police to 3,700 pounds of marijuana inside a Cimarron Country Club home.

It all happened at a home on the 100 block of San Jacinto Court around 9:15 p.m. Sunday.

Mission police told Action 4 News that a neighbor saw two men breaking a window at the home.

Officers arrived at the scene and went inside the home but did not find anybody inside.

However, police found 181 bundles with 3,722 pounds of marijuana inside a closet and bathroom.

Investigators believe the men who broke the window may have stolen marijuana because some of the bundles appeared to have been ransacked.

Property records show that Teofilo and Manuel Gonzalez bought the $129,000 home back in April 2003.

Mission police said the home did not have electricity or water service but believe somebody had been staying there based on evidence found at the scene.

According to VALLEYCENTRAL.COM archives, it is the second major drug seizure from a home at the Cimarron County Club in the past 30 days.
