Call 4 Action - Woman scammed by Mobile Home Company

The Park Girl is accused of scamming customers out of their money

She thought she was buying a home.

Instead, Elizabeth Venzor says was scammed into buying a lie.

I called the police, said Elizabeth Venzor. I made a police report because I said it cannot be possible that you're not going to give me my money and you sold the mobile home that you were going to sell to me."

In June, Venzor, who now lives in Wichita Falls, decided to buy a used mobile home for $20,000 from Joleigh Ares, better known as The Park Girl from La Feria.

Venzor said Ares agreed to remodel the home in four to six weeks since it needed some repairs.

So she said spent months waiting on her to deliver the home and her promise.

But instead she found out Ares had actually sold her mobile home to more than one person.

And I told her if she could just give me the money back, said Ares. I TMm canceling the contract and she agreed. And she told me there would be a penalty of 500 dollars for breaking the contract. I said that's fine, even though the mobile home was not going to be delivered in the time she promised.

Venzor says since July she has been getting the run around from Ares.

She hired a lawyer out of Brownsville who is investigating her complaint about The Park Girl.

She says she believes The Park Girl pocketed her money.

According to reports from Better Business Bureau The Park Girl is not BBB accredited and has an F rating.

The company has failed to respond to the BBB or address complaint issues.

Elizabeth Venzor said the $20,000.00 was her life savings and now she has no way of moving back to the valley with her kids until she gets her money back.
