Authorities have reopened Cameron County's main beaches on Tuesday morning after weather and tide conditions have improved.
Dangerous tides and rip currents prompted Cameron County officials to temporarily shut down the beaches.
Officials shut down Boca Chica Beach on the mainland as well as Beach Access 5 and Beach Access 6 on South Padre Island.
Cameron County officials have now fully reopened those beaches but are asking visitors to heed wind and tide conditions.
