Capital murder indictment for death of San Benito musician

A San Benito man jailed for the murder of a Conjunto music pioneer has been indicted by a Cameron County grand jury.

Manuel Pea is accused of beating and stabbing 84-year-old Ramon Pion in the face, head and neck back in April.

The 21-year old allegedly stole items from his home.

Pea is being held without bond and is expected to be arraigned for the capital murder indictment soon.

If convicted, Pena could faces life in prison without parole or the death penalty.
