Charges upgraded for sole survivor of deadly Highway 100 crash
Charges have been upgraded for a McAllen woman involved in a deadly two vehicle accident on highway 100 in Los Fresnos last Sunday.
Margaret Gil has been booked on five counts of intoxication manslaughter at the Cameron County jail and will be arraigned tomorrow, according to law enforcement officials.
She was jailed earlier this week for criminal negligence in the deaths of five people pending toxicology results. Those charges were upgraded this afternoon.
The victims of the crash were buried Friday.
