Child, 2 others hospitalized after woman runs red light

Edinburg crash

A child and two others were hospitalized after a woman allegedly ran a red light causing a car crash.

The accident happened in Edinburg on the southbound frontage road along I-69C and Sprague.

Police told Action 4 News, the 35-year-old woman from Alamo was driving a White GMC Yukon headed southbound, when a witness saw her run a stoplight.

The SUV slammed into a black Kia Spectra, which was traveling west on Sprague.

The 59-year-old man driving the SUV, a woman passenger and a child were all taken to McAllen Medical Center.

The injured are all being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
