A Brownsville man is facing criminal charges after authorities raided his home and found cocaine near a baby's crib.

Anti-drug agents with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) arrested Misael Lerma Garcia on Thursday.

Court records released Friday show that the agents raided Garcia's home on Vallarta Street, which is located just north of the Brownsville airport.

Agents reported finding 2 grams of cocaine allegedly belong to Garcia inside a pair of pants next to a baby's crib.

Investigators reported that a 5-month-old baby and a 3-year-old child lived in the home.

Authorities charged Garcia with possession of a controlled substance and child endangerment.

Garcia appeared before a Cameron County Magistrate Court judge on Friday where he was issued $12,500 dollars in bonds.
