A cocaine trafficking investigation has ended with a Brownsville man behind bars.
U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested 37-year-old Luis Gerardo Garcia on Monday.
A federal grand jury indicted Garcia in a two-count cocaine case back on July 19th.
The indictment had been sealed until Garcia appeared before U.S. Magistrate Court Judge Ronald Morgan in Brownsville on Wednesday morning.
The indictment shows Garcia is accused of trying to move more than 22.7 pounds of cocaine.
Judge Morgan denied bond for Garcia until a Friday morning hearing.
Garcia is expected to be arraigned on Thursday afternoon.
