Cold front to usher in shower, possible thunderstorm activity tonight

A slow moving cold front will bring increasing shower and possible thunderstorm activity as we head into the overnight hours.The boundary will move through the RGV late this evening.Waves of showers, and even a few thunderstorms, could steadily move in through the early morning hours.Some thunderstorms could contain pockets of heavy rain, some lightning and strong winds.Rain amounts by Monday morning could total tenths of an inch to more than one inch in some areas that receive more rain.Expect to also see a huge drop in temperatures, with 50's common across the RGV through your Sunday.Winds will also be fairly breezy from the north at about 15-20 mph with gusts to 30 mph at times.Conditions improve Tuesday when skies begin to clear and temperatures bounce back into the 70's.
